Not a beer lover? or is it a taste thing for you? That's ok, half of us around this office are not partial to a cold one either. Whatever the reason the good news is that the Flour and Dough Beer Bread Mix does not have to have beer mixed into it at all. Hoorah! Here are a couple alternatives to add in this mix.
One: Club Soda
Two: Ginger Beer
Keep all measurements the same when using a different wet ingredient. It is key to have the same amount of moistness to the dough that the beer would bring. With the Club Soda, sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top of the bread 10 minutes before it is due to come out of the oven, it will help bring out the herbs and garlic in the bread and help to keep it a savoury flavour. Ginger Beer is another alternative you can use instead of acholic beer. It will also bring another flavour combination to your table. A sweet and savory choice all wrapped up in one bread loaf.
